Baptism

Baptism is a spiritual celebration when a new follower of Jesus is immersed in water by another Jesus follower. This simple act symbolizes what happens spiritually when a person puts their faith in Jesus. Just as Jesus died on the cross for our sin and was raised again, so also when we place our faith in Jesus, we die to sin and are raised spiritually to walk in newness of life. This spiritual reality is symbolized in our baptism.
